President Obama convinced not to leave job by wife and kids

Advisors to President Obama were shocked yesterday when they saw that he was set to resign from his post as late as last night.

"At first when he said was ready to leave, I thought he meant for the day. But then I saw the bags..." said an insider. According to many people in or close to officials in The White House, President Obama is very "stressed" about all of the issues he has had to deal with just in the last three months; The conflict in Libya, The Japanese crisis, the high unemployment rate in The United States, the onslaught of the tea party and most frustratingly, the blowing up of his NCAA brackets. Those same sources say that only the first lady, Michelle Obama and his two daughters are the only thing that stopped him from resigning. "Michelle said some things first but then both Malia and Sasha told the President that he was being selfish. They told him that they didn't want to leave their new home, make new friends or be forever known as the daughters of a failed one - term President that just couldn't cut it." That last line really made him stiffen up says the source, "He got it together after that."

Although The White House refused to comment specifically on the matter, White House Spokesman Jay Carney would only say that there was a moving truck on the White House premises. When pressed for further comment Carney grew frustrated, "look I saw a truck too, that's all I can tell you. Draw your own conclusions, okay. Any other questions?."

President Obama's cold feet was not that all surprising to those that have been around him lately. An aide to President Obama who spoke on condition of anonymity said, "listen, he didn't sign on for this. He was supposed to be a change agent but it's like there's a new meltdown every five seconds." The aide went on to defend President Obama's recent erratic behavior, "you think Jackie Robinson could have dealt with this? He would have never have broken the color barrier. He would have gladly run back to the Negro Leagues." When reached for comment Vice President Biden said that he could not speak for long because he had to call Justice Roberts back to tell him "never mind about the swearing - in thing."
